“The Great China Adventure” has officially come to a close.

Thank you for the memories, thank you for the best year of my life.1

My 6.5 months in China into a 2 hour 22 min film. It is complete.

When my friend asked what art meant to me in a recent podcast episode, I replied: “Art is a way for me to establish permanence via self-expression.”

Forget short-form content; create things that last.

Some fun facts about the editing process:

Zero AI, 100% craftsmanship

My phrase for this year was:

“This is just the beginning.”

Where one adventure ends, another one begins. And ever since I’ve arrived back in CA in July, I’ve been eyeing the next great adventure – with overwhelming anticipation.

And now, we’re about to commence just that.

I’m going on my 2nd abroad at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the beautiful country of Singapore. 🇸🇬

I came into my undergraduate with one primary objective:

Study abroad. It didn’t matter where – I knew, by following my geographical curiosity, it could lead me to somewhere life-changing.

And I experienced just that when I studied abroad at Peking University this year in Beijing, China. It wasn’t just the best time of my life; it brought so much clarity on the kind of life I want to build.

I honestly never thought I’d pick NUS; the plan was to do an abroad in Asia, then Europe.

However, with a few days left to apply, I realized:

If there’s a part of the world I feel most alive, it’s undoubtedly Asia.

So suddenly, I turned away from all my other options and stared dead-straight at Singapore. It was calling.

A few reasons why Singapore was an obvious choice:

  • Massive business hub with really cool founders

  • Asia (specifically East Asia & parts of SE Asia) is the future

  • HUGE opportunities at the bridge between Eastern & Western markets

  • Slowly crafting a hybrid life, shifting between two worlds

There are many more reasons I could list (e.g: safety, urbanism, aesthetics, culture, etc.), but for the past few years, it proved a deep intuition I had:

I don’t think I was meant to JUST stay in the U.S.

So… “The Great Asia Adventure” continues.

And just like my first abroad in Beijing, I’ll let spontaneity, wonder, and curiosity take the front wheel.

2026 is about to get a whole lot more amazing.

Raising Cane’s is genuinely really good.
